Description
This module will provide an overview of the basic concepts and best practices in the use of digital health. It is designed for health care professionals who are new to digital health by covering terms and technologies that are currently being used for telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and learning and social platforms designed to promote cardiovascular health and manage cardiovascular disease.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion, participants should be able to:
1. Recognize various digital health technologies
2. Identify how health technologies have contributed to improving patient outcomes
3. Identify the problems that current innovative technologies and methods are designed to solve in the healthcare industry
4. Identify the gaps and weaknesses in digital health technology

AMA Credit Designation Statement - Physicians
The American Heart Association designates this activity for a maximum of 0.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
AAPA Credit Acceptance Statement – Physician Assistants
AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 0.25 hours of Category I credit for completing this program.
AANP Credit Acceptance Statement – Nurse Practitioners
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM from organizations accredited by the ACCME.

Participation and Successful Completion
Successful completion of this CE activity includes the following:
1. Complete all portions of the online course
2. Complete the posttest with a score of 80% or higher
3. Complete the course evaluation
4. Print the Certificate/Statement of Credit
