About This Certification:
The Certified Professional by the American Heart Association – Telehealth Stroke (CPAHA) program is the American Heart Association’s measure of excellence in telestroke care delivery.
The CPAHA – Telehealth Stroke program offers individual professionals a self-directed opportunity to validate knowledge and experience in foundational telehealth principles and care delivery. Upon completion of prerequisite requirements and purchase of the certification exam, individuals will receive communication via email from Meazure Learning to schedule their proctored exam. Professionals who successfully pass the exam will receive a certification award and credentials for individual recognition.

Prerequisite Requirements:
- Be a licensed medical professional including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, paramedics, clinical pharmacists and other licensed health care professionals engaged in the stroke chain of survival utilizing telehealth.
- Completion of 10 stroke or telehealth CEUs
-While you are not required to submit CEs upon registration, in the event of an audit you will be required to provide proof of completion
Exam Specifications:
• 175 total questions (145 scored questions, 30 unscored questions)
• 3 hours to complete the exam
• Exam will be live remote proctored by Meazure Learning

Certification Maintenance:
• Certification is valid for 3 years
• 30 CE credits will be required for recertification
• Certification maintenance fees ($175) are due prior to expiration
• Individuals may opt to retake the exam at full cost ($575) in lieu of continuing education credits
